Description

Walnut Tree Cottages comprise a hall house, now converted into a row of cottages, dating to the 15th century with later alterations. The building is timber framed and exposed, with plaster and painted brick infill. It has a plain tiled roof. The structure is single storey with an attic, built on a plinth, and features an end jetty to the right, supported by brackets. A two-storey, projecting central gable is present, topped with a hipped roof featuring gablets, three gabled dormers, and stacks positioned to the left and offset, projecting at the right end. The central gabled bay contains two wooden casements, and a single three-light wooden casement on each floor. Two boarded doors are located in the centre to the right, with the left-hand door featuring a four-centred arched head.
