Description

The Maybolt is a house dating from the 16th to 18th centuries. It is timber framed, with some sections showing the frame, filled with plaster and underbuilt with red brick, and other sections with tile hanging. The roof is covered in plain tiles. The front elevation has two storeys and an attic. The roof is hipped to the left and half-hipped to the right, with chimney stacks located to the left and centre right. There are three wooden casement windows on each floor. The rear elevation, which serves as the entrance front, features a shallow jetty, a gabled dormer, and a boarded door within a projecting two-storey wing constructed in the 20th century, with a catslide roof extending to the right.
