Description
Trent Cottage is a house built in the late 19th century. It features a combination of red brick and timber framing with plaster infill, topped by a plain tiled roof. The building has an irregular plan in the Tudor lodge style and stands two storeys high. On the left side, there is an end jetty, and the centre has a gable that breaks the eaves line, adorned with a pierced barge-board. A central stack is present. The first floor has one three-light transomed window, while the ground floor features a transomed window supported by heavily carved and enriched grotesque corbels. There is a corbelled oriel on the left return. To the right, a boarded door is set in a projecting gabled porch. Notably, the sill above the main ground floor window and the panels between the windows showcase enriched wooden relief carving of good quality and interest.
