Description

The building at 71 and 73 Boughton Street is an 18th-century house with a later extension. It is constructed of painted brick with a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with a basement, set on a plinth. The right-hand bay is recessed, and the roof is hipped, featuring stacks at the end on the right and in the centre. The first floor has four wooden casement windows. The ground floor has two canted bay windows which extend down to the basement level. The right-hand bay includes a segmental-headed wooden casement window and a half-glazed door, which accesses a flight of five steps. A half-glazed door has been inserted into the right-hand bay window, and a further half-glazed door is located to the left, also leading to a flight of steps.
