HEVER Italian Sculpture Garden to South-East of Hever Castle

2. Enclosed area with classical features. Roofless round pavilions at angles have triple-arched screens. Surrounding arcaded screen with pilasters and entablature. Other walls divided into bays by long buttresses. Colonnade of segmental arches along south side. At East end loggia with Ionic columns overlooks staircase and lower terrace to lake. Curved wings of staircase embrace fountain. The garden houses a collection of sculpture, mainly Roman.
