Description

Hope Cottage is a timber-framed building dating from the 16th century, located on the east side of Uckfield Lane in Hever. It is two storeys high and features three irregularly spaced windows. The roof is hipped and tiled, with a modern chimney stack. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is made of coursed freestone, except for the right bay, which has a brick ground floor from a former outshot. The windows are modern casements, and there is a plank door. The cottage has modern additions at the rear and retains exposed timber inside.
