Description

The Old Rectory is an early 18th-century main east front, with a late 19th-century two-bay left extension, concealing a 16th-century timber-framed house. The tiled roof is hipped to the right and features a dormer on the right return, with projecting eaves and fillet. The east front is built of red brick with blue headers, a band, and a plinth. It has sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, and 19th-century French doors and two sash windows on the ground floor, all under shallow segmental brick arches. The left extension features 19th-century sashes. Brick and tile hanging are present at the rear, alongside an old chimney stack. Exposed framing is visible inside the house, along with 17th-century panelling above the dining room mantelpiece.
