Description

Brook Cottage is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed cottage located on the east side of Uckfield Lane in Hever. The building has two storeys and features two windows in total. It has a high-pitched tiled roof with a rebuilt ridge stack. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor displays visible square framing with later brick filling. The cottage includes 19th century and modern casements, along with plain plank doors. There are one-storey, one-window extensions at both ends, and the rear elevation is similar to the front. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed stout timbers.
