Description

Longford Cottage is a timber-framed cottage that appears to date from the 16th century. It has a gable end facing the road and features an added chimney, with another chimney at the south end. The roof is tiled, and the nogging consists of old narrow bricks. There is a small, gabled extension on the west side. The main east front has two storeys and four small bays, characterized by stout timbers, swell-head posts, and large braces. The first floor has modern casement windows, while the ground floor windows are boarded up. There is also a modern porch.
