Description

This large barn, located to the north-west of Else's Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century and features a timber-framed structure with six bays. It has a tall hipped gabled porch on the south side and is weatherboarded, although the roof has been replaced with galvanized iron. The barn stands on a foundation of rubble and brick and includes a south aisle extension. Adjacent to the barn is a long range of weatherboarded outbuildings, which are one and two storeys high, mostly topped with tiled roofs. The barn, outbuildings, and Else's Farmhouse together form a cohesive group.
