Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of six houses, numbered 40 to 46, located on Chipstead Lane. Each house is two storeys high and has a single window. The houses have painted brick facades, low-pitched hipped slate roofs with eaves soffits. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, although the ground floor window of number 46 has a modern oriel with square-paned casements. The front doors are plain and set within round-arched recesses, except for the door at number 46, which is a six-panel door beneath a round-arched hood with brackets. Numbers 40 to 46 form a group with the adjacent properties.
