Description
This is an early 19th century terrace of six houses, numbered 1 to 7, on College Street. Each house is three storeys high with a sunken basement and two windows. The houses are constructed of red brick with a brick parapet. Nos. 1 and 3 have slate mansard roofs with skylights, while the roofs of Nos. 5 and 7 are hidden behind the parapet. The sash windows have gauged, flat brick arches and glazing bars; those on the ground floor are wider and incorporate margin lights. A round-arched doorway is topped with a cornice and a radial fanlight. All doors and windows are recessed within stucco-lined reveals. The front door is wide-panelled, and the property is fronted by cast iron area railings with spearhead standards and ball finials. Nos. 1 to 27A (odd) are considered a group.
