Description

Verulam House is an earlier 19th-century house with alterations by Caröe. Originally a five-storey, four-window structure, the house is constructed of red brick with a low-pitched, hipped slate roof. It features sash windows with glazing bars and margin lights within stucco-lined reveals, with gauged, segmental brick arches above. A band runs along the first-floor cills. A porch was added in the early 20th century, along with a wing to the right. A long wing, built in a similar style to the main house, extends to the rear.
