Description

52 and 54 Chipstead Lane are two substantial dwellings, originally a single house dating to the 18th century. Each dwelling is two storeys high and has one window. They have tiled roofs with brick chimneys at each end. The houses are constructed of brick with a rubble plinth. The windows are 19th-century casements, with those on the ground floor set within segmental brick arches. A recessed brick panel is located at the centre of the first floor. The entrances are accessed via modern porches with 19th-century four-panel doors. Nos 40 to 62 (even numbers) form a group.
