Description
This is an early 19th century terrace of six houses, numbered 196 to 218 on the High Street. The terrace stands three storeys high and originally featured eleven windows. The exterior is painted brick, topped with a parapet. The original glazing pattern has been preserved above the ground floor level. Modern shop fronts now occupy the ground floor. Number 206 has four steps leading to its entrance; the door is topped with a semi-circular fanlight, a moulded semi-circular architrave, and a flat-topped hood supported by brackets. Houses 196 to 222 (even) are designated as a group.
