Description

A terrace of six houses, numbers 1 to 11 Sandiway Road, was built around 1830. The houses are constructed of brick with slate roofs. Each house is one room wide and has two storeys and a double depth. Each front elevation features a door on the left side, recessed within a semi-circular brick arch and topped with a radial fanlight. Above the door, and on the first floor, are windows with cambered brick arches, stone sills, and 16-pane sashes. A dentilled eaves cornice runs along the top of the elevation, above a pitched roof. Each house has a chimney stack on the right, featuring stepped brick water tabling. The rear of the property incorporates horizontal sliding sash windows.
