Description
This is a terrace of four houses located at 53 to 59 Hope Street, built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with two bays. There is a sill band at the first floor, along with a frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars. The entrances are round-headed and have Doric doorcases, complete with fanlights and six-panel doors. Notably, houses 55 and 57 have complete fanlights and six-panel doors, while house 59 features small-paned casements. The property is also adorned with iron area railings.
