Description
A barn, likely dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, incorporates elements from the 16th century and was altered in the late 20th century. This timber-framed barn has external weatherboarding on a brick plinth, and a half-hipped tiled roof. One section of the barn, closest to the road, had its wall frame removed and rebuilt a short distance further from the road. Modern cart entrances are centrally placed. Weatherboarded and tiled outshuts are present on two sides. Inside, the barn features 16th-century jowled upright posts, alongside later 18th-century angled queen struts, through purlins, and a ridgepiece. The barn is listed for its contribution to the group value of the farm buildings.
