Description
Old School House Cottage is likely a pair of cottages from the 16th century that have been significantly altered and restored in the 19th century. The building is constructed of random stone with brick quoins and window surrounds. It features square paned casement windows and has a plaster finish on the first floor. The roof is covered with ridge tiles and has ornamental bargeboards, with gable ends facing the Green. The cottage is noted for its group value alongside Applewell, The Buck's Head Inn, and Nos 1 and 2 (Pond Cottages).
