Description
Brook Cottage is a 16th-century timber-framed cottage that has undergone 18th and 19th-century restorations. It comprises two builds, with one window in the left part and a blank facade on the right, featuring a window on the gabled return. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled, with a gabled dormer on the left and a ridge stack on the right. Curved bargeboards are a 19th-century addition. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is brick. The windows are 19th-century, with one bar casements. Modern rear extensions have been added that are sympathetic to the original building. The interior retains much exposed timber.
