Description

This is an early 19th-century terrace of shops and dwellings on London Road. The building is constructed of yellow brick, and stands four storeys high. It has a flat projecting eaves line and gutter, and a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate. The facade is laid out with three widely spaced windows, with a slight recess in the centre.

Number 73 has a panelled front door with top lights, set beneath a flat, stuccoed arch. A sash window to its left has panelled wooden shutters. Number 75 features a shop front, and number 77 has a half-glazed and panelled door, also with a flat, stuccoed arch above, and a sash window to the left.

The first floor contains three splayed, projecting bay windows with flat, leaded roofs and plastered soffits. The central bay window sits on a projecting entablature above the central shop window on the ground floor. The bay windows have stuccoed fronts and contain non-opening windows with glazing bars and side casements. The second floor has three sash windows with glazing bars, each with a flat stuccoed arch above. A further three similar sash windows are present on the third floor.

Numbers 73 to 93 (odd) are grouped together visually.
