Description

This cart shed, located adjoining Hemsley Cottage to the southeast, dates from the late 18th century or 19th century. The left gable end wall and rear wall are constructed of chequered red and grey brick, while the left gable is weatherboarded above the wall. It features a plain tile roof and is built at right angles to the road. The right gable end is adjacent to a timber-framed barn. The structure is single storey with an open front, supported by two posts towards the center, which are arch-braced to the eaves plate. The roof includes re-used medieval rafters and two cambered tie-beams. This building is included for its group value.
