Description
The Roundels is an oast house from the 19th century that has been converted into a house in the late 20th century. The kilns and the ground floor of the stowage are made of red and grey brick, while the first floor of the stowage is weather-boarded. The building features plain tile roofs and has a rectangular stowage that runs at right angles to the road, with three circular kilns: two at the front gable end and one towards the front of the right side. It is two storeys high and has a doubly-dentilled brick plat band on the stowage and a similar cornice on the kilns. The stowage has a hipped roof, while the kilns have conical roofs with cowls. The fenestration is irregular, with three small three-light wooden casements on the left side of the stowage and two two-light paned casements on each floor of the front kilns. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
