Description

Hemsley Cottages is a row of houses located on George Street in Hunton, dating from the late 18th century. The cottages are timber framed, with the ground floor featuring a chequered pattern of red and grey brick laid in Flemish bond, while the first floor is tile-hung. The left gable end is rendered, and the building has a plain tile roof. It is oriented at right angles to the road and consists of two storeys set on a brick plinth, topped with a half-hipped roof and a central brick ridge stack. The front has a regular arrangement of two windows, each with two small wooden casements on both floors. There is a boarded door at the left end and another boarded door located in a small gabled porch at the right end. The interior has not been inspected.
