Description
This barn, located about 73 metres south west of Moatenden Priory, dates from the early 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, standing on a stone plinth, and features a hipped plain tile roof. The east side has central double doors that are flush with the aisle and lead up to a flat-roofed canopy. There is a single door to the left and full-height double doors to the right. Inside, the barn has five timber-framed bays with a central midstrey and an aisle to the east. The principal posts have cut jowls, and there are short arch braces and long raking braces to the midstrey partition. The roof has staggered butt purlins. A date of 1851 is scratched into the weatherboarding.
