Description
Greenways Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the mid-15th century or earlier. It is timber framed, with the ground floor clad in painted brick and exposed studding with plaster infilling on the first floor. The roof is covered with plain tiles and features four timber-framed bays, including a two-bay open hall. The building has two storeys and broadly spaced studding, with two tension braces in the left bay, two arch braces in the left hall bay, and one in the right hall bay. The roof is steeply pitched and hipped, with gablets and projecting end stacks. There is a stack on the front slope of the roof to the right side of the left hall bay. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of five leaded casements: one two-light window in the left bay, a narrow light in the left hall bay, one two-light window in the right hall bay, and two single lights in the right end bay. There is a door to the left end of the left hall bay, which is now blocked, and a boarded door under a shallow hood beneath the stack. The interior has not been inspected.
