Description

Four Oaks is a farmhouse dating back to the 15th century, with alterations from the 16th or 17th centuries and a 19th-century facade. The house is timber framed and built with painted brick on the ground floor and weatherboarding on the first floor. The right gable end features 16th or 17th-century red brick in English bond on a low brick plinth. It has a plain tile roof, hipped to the left, with a slender projecting brick stack to the left and a brick ridge stack to the right end. A hipped dormer window is also present. The windows are irregularly spaced, with two 3-light casements on each floor. A boarded door is located at the right end. An interior inspection has not been carried out, but a photograph in the National Monuments Record shows a moulded crown post.
