Description
Boarden Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, with a 19th-century facade. It has a timber frame, with the ground floor constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and the first floor tile-hung. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The left cross-wing projects to the rear and is two storeys high, featuring a jettied gable with plain barge-boards. The right end bay has lower eaves and a half hip. There is a multiple brick ridge stack located towards the left end of the main range. The building has irregular fenestration with three casements: two are three-light and one is a single-light. The entrance features a boarded door with two top lights and a flat bracketed hood positioned under the stack. There is a short rear wing at the left end of the main range, which connects with the rear of the cross-wing. The interior has not been inspected.
