Description

This is a pair of late 19th-century hop kilns, later converted into houses. The buildings are constructed of brown brick, distinguished by dentilled brick eaves cornices and a plain tile roof. They feature weatherboarded cowls with wind vines. The kilns are arranged in an L-shape and have two 20th-century stowage-style extensions; one projects to the east of the first house and one to the north of the second. The windows are a mix of 20th-century wooden casements, and the entrances have 20th-century half-glazed doors. These oasts form part of a larger group of eight kilns, which also includes the buildings at The Green Nos. 3 and 4.
