Description
Holly House is a house that has been converted into a shop. It is believed to date from the 16th century, with a façade from the 18th century. The building features a red brick façade that may cover a timber-framed structure, topped with a plain tile roof. It has two storeys set on a stone plinth, with a plat band and a ridge stack located at the right end. The building likely contains one timber-framed bay and has a single blocked window on the first floor. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front.
At the rear of the building, a rafter trenched for a pegged lapped collar is visible from the adjoining Baxter's Cottage. The roof of Holly House has a slightly different pitch compared to Baxter's Cottage, but both buildings are notably lower than those on either side.
