Description

LEEDS UPPER STREET TQ 85 SW (west side) 3/126 1 and 2 Gambia Cottages GV II House row, No. 2 formerly shop, now house. Early C19. Timber- framed of weatherboarded, with plain tile roof. Double depth. 2 storeys on stone plinth with hipped roof, hips returning round side elevations. 2 rear red brick stacks. Regular fenestration of 2 glazing-bar sashes, those on ground floor with shallow board hoods over. Single-storey weatherboarded plain-tiled lean-to on brick plinth to either side, recessed slightly from main elevation. Boarded door to no. 2 to left end with shallow flat hood on small shaped brackets; and C20 glazed double doors to no. 1 in lean-to to right, both up 3 steps. Interiors not inspected.
