Description
Fox Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with the ground floor of the right side elevation in English bond and featuring occasional grey headers. The building has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys high with a garret, set on a plinth that includes a plat band in English bond. The eaves cornice is diagonally dentilled in brick, and the roof is gambrel with brick end stacks. The garret is lit from the end. The front has a regular arrangement of windows, including two 2-light casements on the first floor with shutters, and two 20th-century bay windows on the ground floor. There is a ribbed door that is slightly off-centre to the right, accessed by three steps. An insurance plaque is located on the first floor above the door. At the rear, there is a lean-to. The interior has not been inspected.
