Description
Marshall's Cottages (South block) is a house that was formerly two cottages, dating from the 18th century. It is timber framed and rendered, with the first floor of the gable ends being tile-hung. The building has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys high on a stone plinth, featuring boxed eaves and gabled ends. There are projecting brick gable end stacks in Flemish bond, each with a panel of galleted ragstone near the base. The left stack has a base that extends towards the front elevation, which includes a small stone lean-to. The front of the building has a regular arrangement of three windows, each with three-light casements. A central boarded door is accessed by three stone steps, and there is a blocked door to the right of centre. A lean-to is present at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
