Description
Scotts House is a house located on the north-west side of West Street in Hunton. It features a late 18th century front that may belong to an earlier building. The ground floor is constructed of chequered red and grey brick, while the first floor is weatherboarded. The house has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys high on a stone plinth. A central red and grey brick ridge stack with a dentilled cornice is present. The front has a regular arrangement of two windows, each with three-light casements. There is a blocked door beneath the stack, and a panelled door is found in a single-storey red brick addition on the left gable end of the rear range. The rear range is parallel and built with similar materials, featuring a half-hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected. The building was formerly known as Grove Cottage.
