Description
Grove Lodge is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed of chequered red and grey brick with a plain tile roof. It is positioned at right angles to the road and features two storeys and an attic set on a low chamfered brick plinth. The building has a dentilled brick eaves cornice and a gabled roof that is mansarded at the front. There are slightly projecting gable end stacks and two flat-roofed dormers. The front facade has a regular arrangement of three windows, which are recessed 16-pane sashes with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs, alongside 12-pane windows on the ground floor. The central entrance features a panelled door with three small top lights, topped by a flat floating dentilled and corniced hood. There is a later two-storey addition to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
