Description

GROVE LANE TQ 74 NW HUNTON (South Side) 4/81 Grove Lodge GV II House. Early C19. Chequered red and grey brick. Plain tile roof. Built at right-angles to road. 2 storeys and attic on low chamfered brick plinth. Dentilled brick eaves cornice. Gabled roof, mansarded to front. Slightly projecting gable end stacks. 2 flat-roofed dormers. Regular 3-window front of recessed 16-pane sashes with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. 12-pane ground-floor windows. Central panelled door with 3 small top lights under flat floating dentilled and corniced hood. Later 2-storey addition to rear. Interior not inspected.
