Description
Vine House is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of chequered red and grey brick and has a slate roof. The house is built at right angles to the road, facing east, and has a double depth with two storeys. It features flat eaves soffits and a hipped roof. There is a slightly projecting red and grey brick stack on the left gable end, and two stacks on the right gable end. The front has a regular arrangement of three windows, which are recessed 16-pane sashes with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. There is semi-circular decoration in brick headers beneath the ground-floor window cills. The central entrance has a panelled door set in a panelled recess, topped by a four-light rectangular fanlight. A Doric porch with reeded pilasters is attached to the house wall. The interior has not been inspected.
