Description
Lees Cottage is a house that dates from the 18th century or earlier. It has a timber frame, with the front elevation and left gable end covered in channelled render. The right gable end and wing are weatherboarded, while the first floor at the rear is tile-hung. The roof is made of plain tiles and is built at right angles to the road, facing west. The house has two storeys and features a stone plinth to the right of the door and a red and grey brick plinth to the left. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a projecting red and grey brick stack towards the rear of the left gable end, along with a multiple brick ridge stack to the left of centre. The windows are irregularly arranged and consist of two three-light leaded casements. A boarded door is accessed by three stone steps located under the stack. To the right, there is a rear return wing with higher eaves, a gabled roof, a projecting red and grey brick gable end stack, and a brick lean-to along the long left side. The interior has not been inspected.
