Description

The Mount is a house built in the early to mid 19th century. It features a chequered pattern of red and grey brick and has a slate roof. The house is double depth and consists of two storeys set on a brick plinth. It has flat eaves soffits and a hipped roof. There are projecting red and grey brick stacks located towards the front and rear of the left gable end, as well as another stack at the front of the right gable end.

The front of the house has a regular arrangement of three windows, including two recessed sixteen-pane sash windows and a blind central window, all adorned with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. The ground floor also has two similar sixteen-pane sash windows. The left side of the house has no windows, while the right side has three sash windows.

The central entrance features a panelled door that is accessed by four steps and is set within a panelled recess. Above the door is a rectangular fanlight with vertical glazing bars, framed by a roll-moulded outer architrave that includes stylized flowers instead of traditional paterae, topped with a shallow corniced hood. There is an additional panelled door with a flat hood, also accessed by four steps, located towards the front of the right return, along with another door towards the rear.

To the right, there is a short rear return wing that has a lower ridge and a slate roof hipped to the rear. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
