Description
Barham Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, possibly incorporating an earlier core. It features a chequered pattern of red and grey brick, with the first floor of the left gable end being tile-hung. The building has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys high. Notable architectural details include a plat band and a dentilled brick eaves cornice. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, and there is a ridge stack slightly to the right of the centre. The front of the house has a regular arrangement of three windows, consisting of two 3-light casements and a central 2-light casement. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light casements with segmental heads, and a central panelled door is located beneath a flat corniced hood. At the rear, there is a short left return wing with a rendered first floor and a red brick lean-to attached to the rear of the right gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
