Description
The White House is a public house that has been converted into a house, dating from the late 18th century. It features a pebbledashed exterior with weatherboarding above the wall-plate at the gable end. The roof is made of plain tiles and the building stands two storeys high on a rendered plinth. The gable is prominent, and there is a projecting brick stack on the right gable end. The front has a regular arrangement of three windows, all of which are 12-pane sashes, with one 12-pane and one 16-pane sash located on the ground floor. All windows are set in open boxes. The entrance is marked by a central ribbed door situated in a gabled rendered porch. To the left, there is a weatherboarded lean-to garage, and to the right, a short two-storey rear wing that is tile-hung on the first floor and has a hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
