Description

Durrants is a farmhouse, likely dating back to the 16th century or earlier, although it has a 18th or early 19th century facade. The building is timber-framed and constructed with ground-floor painted brick in a Flemish bond pattern, and a first floor clad in weatherboarding. It has a plain tile roof, a brick plinth, and a steeply-pitched hipped roof with a gablet to the left. A multiple brick ridge stack is situated to the left of the centre of the building, and there is a small gabled dormer window. The fenestration is irregular, featuring four windows: one 20-pane sash at each end, a nine-light sash to the left of the stack, and a two-light casement to the right. The ground floor has three sashes in open boxes, two with 20 panes and one with nine. A ribbed door is set within a panelled recess, featuring a reeded architrave and paterae. A timber-framed rear wing extends to the right, and there is a rear lean-to on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
