Description
This barn, located about 30 metres east of Great Wadd Farmhouse, dates from the early 16th century or earlier. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a plain tile roof. The structure consists of six timber-framed bays and features a hipped roof. There are double doors leading to the third timber-framed bay from the south. Inside, you will find gunstock-jowled posts, plain crown-posts with head braces and eccentric foot braces, morticed collars, and arch bracing to the walls and tie-beams. Three of the northern bays are floored. The barn has been converted for use as a swimming pool and store.
