Description
Rock Farm House is a house dating from around 1700. It is constructed of red and blue brick and has a half-framed structure clad with tile hanging, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, set on a plinth with a plat band. The roof features two gabled dormers, and there are moulded stacks that project and are offset at both ends of the house.
The windows are arranged regularly, with two three-light wooden casements and a central two-light casement on the first floor, and a four-light wooden casement to the left and a three-light casement to the right on the ground floor, all topped with segmental heads. The central door consists of three moulded panels and has a rectangular fanlight above it, framed by a moulded wooden pediment-hood.
At the rear, there is a half-hipped wing and a catslide outshot, both integral to the main block, featuring two irregular wooden casements and old metal casements. Inside, the house has large inglenooks with slight coved overmantels, stop-chamfered ceiling beams, and a dog-leg stair that currently lacks a handrail.
