Description
Burnt House is a house dating from around 1700. It has a red brick base with tile hung framing above and a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high, featuring a hipped roof on the right side and a projecting stack on the left. There are three light and two light wooden casements on each floor, along with a central boarded door that has a hoodlet above it. At the rear, there is a small outshot that contains a bread oven. Inside, there may be an earlier frame that is concealed, and the interior includes a bread oven, a copper, and an early 20th century Art Nouveau fireplace. At the time of the survey, the house was empty and in a derelict condition.
