Description

Little Nut Hall is a cottage, now a house, dating from the early 16th century, with alterations made in the early 20th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, with mock-timbering on the ground floor and tile-hanging on the first floor. The roof is tiled, hipped, with a gablet to the right, and features a large red brick ridge stack, along with a hipped cross-wing added around 1930 to the left. The building is two storeys high, with an irregular arrangement of windows – one on the first floor to the left, and two on the ground floor. There is a wood-framed diamond lattice casement window. A lean-to outshot is located to the left, partially hidden by a tall extension dating from around 1930. The entrance is situated at an angled corner, behind a weather-porch added in the 1930s. Further extensions were added to the rear around 1930. The interior reveals substantial timber framing, though an inserted chimney breast is also present.
