Description

My Lady's Cottage is a house dated 1809, constructed from a combination of red and blue brick in a chequer pattern, with red brick dressings. The first floor at the rear is tile-hung, and there is a brick eaves cornice beneath a hipped plain tiled roof. The house features central ridge stacks at both the front and rear. It has a lobby entry plan and is two storeys high, with a regular two-bay front that includes glazing bar sashes set beneath gauged flat arches. The central entrance has a half-glazed door topped with a tented hood supported by wooden brackets. Above the door is a panel inscribed with 'My Lady's Cottage/1809'. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear.
