Description

Hawkridge Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, which was re-clad in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is timber-framed with a red and blue brick ground floor, a tile-hung first floor, and a plain tiled roof. A half-hipped return wing extends to the left, with a dormer on the right side and another on the left side of the return wing. A large brick chimney breast with set-offs is visible on the left, dated 1919 on the stack. There is an end stack to the right and a ridge stack on the rear wing. The farmhouse has two storeys and attics, with an irregular three-window first floor and a two-window ground floor, featuring wooden and iron casement windows. A boarded and panelled door with a transom light is set under a gable to the left, leading to a rear, left-gabled wing.
