Description

North Cottage and Summerhill is a 17th-century farmhouse, later divided into two cottages. It was re-clad in the 19th century. The building has a timber frame with a ground floor of red and blue brick and a first floor that is tile-hung. The roof is tiled, with a steeper pitch on the left-hand side. There is a tall brick ridge stack in the centre, and two smaller projecting stacks. The cottage has two storeys and three windows, all casements. The central door is panelled with glazed upper panels, set within a wooden surround with a flat hood above. There is a deep catslide extension to the front.
