Description
Sissinghurst Castle Farmhouse is a mid-19th century farmhouse constructed with a red and blue brick chequer pattern and red brick dressings. The roof features plain and fishscale tiles arranged in bands. It has two tall brick stacks with heavy mouldings and oversailing cornices at each end of the main ridge, along with two additional stacks at the rear on the left side. The building has projecting cross-gables on the left and right, and a small gable to the left of the right-hand gable, all adorned with crowsteps and gablet mouldings over each step. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics, featuring one ogee-headed window with hexagonally-glazed casements in each of the left and right gables. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of four glazing bar sash windows on both floors below. The entrance is located in the left-hand projecting cross-wing, featuring double boarded doors set in round-arched surrounds. This building is included for its group value only.
