Description

This building, likely a former cloth hall, is now a house. It dates back to the 16th century, with additions made around 1930 and 1955. The building is timber-framed, with the ground floor clad in red brick and the first floor tile-hung, except for the north side which features exposed timber framing with plaster infilling. The upper floors are jettied. It has a plain tiled roof with two gable stacks to the north and a central ridge stack.

The house is two stories and has garrets, with an irregular window arrangement. To the east, there are three windows under a catslide roof, and one window in the garret to the north. The north side of the first floor has three windows, one of which is blocked with 16th-century mullions and surrounds. The ground floor on the north side has two windows. A single window is found in the south garret, two on the first floor, and three on the ground floor. All windows are iron casements. A boarded door with a snecked latch is located behind a 20th-century gabled porch on the south front. Another boarded door is present to the right of the central bread oven on the east front.

Inside, the ground floor contains a single-story weaving hall with a high, moulded beamed ceiling. The roof is a trussed side-purlin design, originally featuring a ridge piece which has since been removed.
